NSVFA Fire School
May 15-17, 2026

On behalf of the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighter’s Association and the Fire School Committee, I would like to extend a special welcome to our 89th Annual Nebraska Fire School! The Fire School Committee, the NSVFA Board, the State Fire Marshall’s Training Division and countless others have worked so hard to bring you the training, fellowship, food and vendor connections that have made Fire School so famous. This year’s school will consist of 28 classes in all phases of firemanship, fire investigation, rescue, fire safety, leadership, officer training, fire prevention and EMS.  The school is once again being held at Fonner Park and sites in and around Grand Island.

CLASS CERTIFICATION: Certain classes stipulate mandatory hours of attendance. Students should make every attempt to attend the 12 hours of instruction provided for most classes and, unless otherwise indicated in the class description, must attend no less than 9 hours to receive a letter of certification which will be mailed to the student’s fire department. Attendance is recorded daily.
